60 years ago, Cyrus Jeffords and Joan Jeffords got married live on CBS, on a show called “Brides & Grooms.” The show was televised at a time when live television was still novel, and the thought of seeing someone get married from afar would have been unheard of before the the program aired.
The Jeffords are still married, and appeared on “CBS This Morning Saturday” to recall their TV experience:
