When you have 24 hours of time to fill, there will always be moments of greatness… and moments that are not so great. MSNBC saw both yesterday, with the high point being a powerful, emotional editorial on the economy and Wahington from Dylan Ratigan and a silly flub from Al Sharpton.
Ratigan was visibly emotional when he delivered his closing segment, saying “Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America. Democrats aren’t doing it, Republicans are not doing it, an entire integrated system, financial system, trading system, taxing system, that was created by both parties over a period of two decades is at work on our entire country right now.”

On the other side of the coin was Sharpton.
Sharpton began an editorial on the Wisconsin recall elections, but partway through his TelePrompTer failed, and after flubbing a couple of lines he moved on (Update: When we were tipped off, we were told it was a prompter fail, but we have since heard from two people at 30 Rock who say that there was no prompter issue, Sharpton was simply ad-libbing and flubbed his lines.
