A Tale of Three Interviews: Michele Bachmann Edition

By Alex Weprin

Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann has wasted no time making the TV news rounds since announcing her intention to seek the Republican Presidential nomination.

Bachmann appeared on all three network morning shows, with each interview having an identity all its own.

On NBC’s “Today,” Bachmann talked to Matt Lauer about repealing the healthcare legislation passed by President Obama, as well as cutting back on spending:

Contrast that with her appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” which saw George Stephanopoulos arguing with her about whether the founding fathers “worked tirelessly” to abandon slavery, and whether John Quincy Adams was in fact a founding father:

On CBS’ “The Early Show,” Bachmann spoke to Rebecca Jarvis primarily about the economy, in what was a pretty staid interview.
