“A Perfect Storm of Problems”

As expected, one of the topics on the media watching shows this week was the move by MSNBC to make David Gregory the primary political night anchor, with Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann switched to analysts on Monday — and the resulting fall-out the rest of the week.

On CNN’s Reliable Sources, Eric Deggans of the St. Petersburg Times called it, “a perfect storm of problems for those guys,” and commentator S.E. Cupp took it further. “I don’t think that they wear different hats,” he said. “I think the hat that they wear is the hat of a fan: a fan of the Democratic Party and a fan of Obama. You know, they were practically groupies at the DNC.”
