25 Years After The 1987 Stock Market Crash

25 years ago today Wall Street had a massive stock market crash, nicknamed “Black Monday.” Back in 1987, there were no cable business channels, and the only real cable news channel was CNN. Update: I forgot FNN, which would go on to be acquired by CNBC.

While many things have changed, some things remain the same. Check out the coverage from CNN and the “Nightly Business Report” below, and look out for a few familiar faces at 2:20 and 2:00 into each video, respectively.
