2014 TVNewser Bracket Challenge: ‘Final Four’ Preview

By Jordan Chariton

Final FourThe NCAA men’s basketball tournament’s “Final Four” will be played tomorrow in Texas, as the one-seeded Florida Gators take on the seven-seeded Connecticut Huskies, while the two-seeded Wisconsin Badgers square off against the eight-seeded Kentucky Wildcats.

Meanwhile, the 2014 TVNewser bracket challenge is razor thin atop the leaderboard. CNN meteorologist Chad Myers is currently in first place in our challenge consisting of 43 on-air and behind-the-scenes TV news pros, with Florida as his predicted winner.

“Being from Nebraska, I’m sure that I have never before cheered for any Florida team,” Myers tells TVNewser. “But, GO GATORS! It would be ‘Awesome baby,'” stealing a phrase from legendary ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale.

Fox News copy editor Martin Hill trails Myers by one point. Hill tells TVNewser Myers has an unfair advantage.

“Since he has led the NCAA pool all the way, and he is a professional weather forecaster, I think it’s obvious Chad has some sort of psychic connection to the future. Is that really fair?”

We’ll update you on which TV newser is atop the leaderboard after Saturday’s action. A reminder of the current standings after the jump.
