2009 TVNewser Poll Results: ‘Today’ Show Still Tops

By Chris Ariens

As we continue bringing you the results of our TVNewser 2009 polls, we asked how the “Today” show would be doing at the end of 2009. Well, a few weeks ago, the NBC News program celebrated 14 years at #1.

Which is right where most of you thought it would be: 68% said it would maintain its dominance, while 23% thought it would lose ground to GMA. It hasn’t. What we didn’t expect was that GMA would have two new anchors by the end of ’09. George Stephanopoulos and Juju Chang joined the broadcast earlier this month.
