National Geographic magazine has seen its fair share of redesigns over the course of its 130-year history. And today, it’s getting another.

The May issue will debut new sections, a new design and typeface, and new paper stock in its most significant overhaul since 2000—but the unmistakable yellow border lives on. The biggest changes are three re-imagined sections: Proof, Embark, and Explore.

Proof is a story told through photography. “We wanted to start with what this publication does best: visual storytelling,” said Nat Geo editor Susan Goldberg.

Meanwhile, Embark takes a look at topics in the news, while Nat Geo says Explore “illuminates the world’s wonders.”
