TLC.com has launched a branded entertainment Web video series in conjunction with sponsor partner Volkswagen of America.
The five-part reality series, The Great Getaway, focuses on family travel and features the road-trip exploits of the real life Woods family — Todd, Michelle and their five children — as they cruise through Sedona, Ariz. Throughout the show, the couple will share tips on packing lightly, avoiding traffic tickets and finding family-friendly hotels.
During episodes of Getaway, which is being powered by TLC sister site HowStuffWorks.com, the Woods will be showcased driving the Volkswagen Routan minivan. Besides the Web series, the partnership also includes Volkswagen ad placements throughout TLC.com’s Family Travel section.
