The Upfront: NBCU Syndication May Complete Business Today

NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution is about 97 percent sold out of its available upfront inventory and is expecting to wrap up things by the end of the day today or sometime tomorrow.

Bo Argentino, senior vp, advertiser sales, for NBCU DTD, said advertiser interest in the syndication debut of off-network drama House and the new half-hour syndicated version of Deal of No Deal, along with more advertisers moving dollars from scatter into the upfront and a number of new clients, all led to an increase in total dollar ad volume taken in. While not releasing a dollar figure, Argentino said ad volume `was up significantly.’
