Universal Sports has signed a deal with the World Triathlon Corporation to air the Ford Ironman World Championship and other key events through 2013. The cable channel joins NBC as the exclusive broadcasters of more than a dozen WTC events which includes the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3.
 
Universal Sports, which airs Olympic-related and lifestyle sports programs, was created via a partnership between NBC Sports and InterMedia Partners. It is currently available in 45 million homes.
