Whoopi Goldberg will host the 62nd Annual Tony Awards on CBS on Sunday, June 15, from 6-11 p.m., the network announced today (May 8).
Goldberg, who is currently a moderator on the ABC daytime talk show, The View, won a Tony as producer of Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2002. She has previously hosted the Academy Awards, and this will be her first time hosting the Tonys.
“Whoopi Goldberg is everything you look for in a host,” said Jack Sussman, executive vp of specials, music and live events for CBS Entertainment.
