The CW is keeping it simple for its fall premiere schedule, opting to debut all 10 shows during a single week.
It starts on Monday, Oct. 9, which will see the return of Supergirl for its second season on The CW (after originally airing on CBS) at 8 p.m., leading into new military drama Valor, about an elite group of U.S. Army helicopter pilots dealing with the aftermath of a botched mission to Somalia.
Tuesday, Oct. 10 brings an all-superhero lineup: The Flash’s Season 4 premiere at 8 p.m., followed by DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m.
On Oct. 11, Wednesdays, which had been home to Arrow for the past five seasons, will make way for Riverdale at 8 p.m., followed by the network’s reboot of ’80s soap Dynasty.
A day later, on Thursday, Oct. 11, Supernatural returns at 8 p.m., now paired with Arrow, on a new night and time.
Friday, Oct. 12 will see the reunion of the network’s critically acclaimed yet low-rated series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which moves up an hour to 8 p.m., and Jane the Virgin, which shifts over from Mondays.
The CW’s fall season will technically kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 4, when the network airs the iHeartRadio Music Festival, with a second night airing on Friday, Oct. 6.
The network revealed the new lineup, which The CW president Mark Pedowitz called “our strongest schedule ever” shortly before its upfront presentation on May 18 at New York City Center.
Trailers for both of The CW’s fall shows can be found here.
Waiting in the wings for midseason is The CW’s fifth superhero series, Black Lightning, about a New Orleans high school principal who returns to his life as a superhero and can control electricity. Pedowitz said the network plans to never have more than four on the air at one time to allow for a healthy mix of nonsuperhero shows.
The CW is the second broadcaster to set its fall premiere dates. Sister network CBS was first out of the gate a week ago, announcing that most of its shows are debuting the week of Sept. 25.
