As expected, NBC’s The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien had huge sampling in week one, with a 4.7 rating in the overnight markets for the week of June 1, based on Nielsen Media Research. Comparably, that outdelivered Tonight’s current second quarter 2009 metered market average (3.9) by 21 percent.

But week two (through Tuesday) is a considerably weaker story, with the average 3.0/ 8 down by a hefty 50 percent from its Monday and Tuesday average from one week earlier (6.0/14).
