Joe Davis, president of Salem Communication’s radio division since 2007, is taking a new role at the company in what is being positioned as a “strategic structuring” of the company’s executive suite. Beginning Jan. 1, Davis will serve in the newly created position of senior advisor to the CEO, special projects and strategic development.
In his new position, David will work to develop new national content for Salem’s Christian teaching and Talk stations, assist Salem’s existing ministry clients, and handle special projects, reporting to Edward Atsinger, CEO.
To replace Davis, David Santrella was promoted to president of the radio division, from operational vp of the company’s stations in Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver and Colorado Springs.
Other management changes announced Tuesday (Dec. 15) include the promotion of Allen Power to senior vp of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Three radio general managers were promoted to operational vice presidents: Mike Moran in Atlanta, Russ Whitnah in Philadelphia and Brian Taylor in Denver.
