Premiere Radio Networks Monday April 21 named Carol Terakawa as executive vp of sales for the Clear Channel programming division. Terakawa joins Premiere May 5 from Yahoo where she served as regional vp of sales, southwest region.
Terakawa succeeds Rhonda Munk Scheidel, who elected in December, to step down from the position to move to Premiere’s Dallas office as senior vp of south central sales.
In her new position, Terakawa will be responsible for Premiere’s ad sales and sponsorships, overseeing six regional offices and a national sales team of more than 60. In addition, she will also work on integrate sales packages for advertises incorporating online media into the overall mix.
“Carol’s innate understanding of reaching consumers via audio, as well as her impressive creativity in connecting with them digitally, makes her the idea person to lead our team,” said Charlie Rahilly, president of Premiere.
Prior to her seven years at Yahoo!, Terakawa worked in radio for more than a decade in several sales positions.
