The final game of the World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays drew half of all households in Philadelphia, where the game aired on WTXF, Fox Television’s owned-and-operated station. In Tampa, on WTVT, nearly one-third of all households tuned in to the game, according to Nielsen.

In contrast, just 29 percent of Philadelphia households and 23.4 percent of Tampa Bay households watched presidential contender Barack Obama’s infomercial, which aired in the half-hour leading up to the game.
