Monday’s episode of soon-to-depart CBS Television Distribution talker Oprah, where Oprah Winfrey introduced the half-sister she never knew she had, scored a whopping 9.7 rating/22 share in the overnights, according to Nielsen Media Research data.
Comparably, that was its highest rated individual telecast since Oprah’s After Oscars Party from the Kodak Theater on Feb. 28, 2005.
Recently launched OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, which has cooled off considerably in the ratings after the early sampling, has ordered a new prime-time home-makeover series called Home Takeover with Simon & Tomas.
