Nexstar Broadcasting Group will launch this Friday (July 16) a real-time social media gossip channel powered by Mixx’s social media platform.
Called the Gossip Hot Spot, the Web channel extracts and aggregates real time gossip news and activity from Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Mixx and Google Buzz. There are also direct feeds from the accounts of TMZ, Perez Hilton, US Weekly, People Magazine and others.
The new channel will be available via several Nexstar community Web portals in Jacksonville, Fla.;
