NBC Local Makes Changes at Top

NBC Local Media announced Monday (June 7) changes at the top of its management ranks as the group prepares to roll out 24/7 digital lifestyle channels across its station portfolio.

Former WNBC-TV general manager Tom O’Brien was named to the newly created position of executive vp of Nonstop Network.

Michael Jack, former president and general manager of WRC in Washington, D.C. since 2002, will succeed O’Brien at NBC’s New York flagship. Both report to John Wallace, president of NBC Local Media.

In his new position, O’Brien will lead the launch of new digital channels across the division using New York Nonstop as the group’s model.
