Mediaweek TV: CBS Full of Shatner’s $#*!

In its pursuit of a Thursday night comedy block, CBS has relocated The Big Bang Theory from Mondays, and paired it with new sitcom $#*! My Dad Says.

The move seems to be paying off.

On its premiere night September 23, Big Bang drew 14 million viewers and a 4.9/14 among 18-49 viewers, while the William Shatner-starring $#*! drew more than 12.5 million viewers and a 4.0/12 among 18-49 viewers.

Of course, $#*! is based on the popular Twitter feed Shit My Dad Says by Justin Halpern. Joining forces with Halpern on the series are comedy veterans (and Will & Grace creators) Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, who spoke with Mediaweek’s Alan Frutkin about their new show.
