CNBC's Maria Bartiromo, anchor for the network's Closing Bell and host/managing editor for On the Money, is leaving the finance network for its competition. The exec is joining Fox Business Network, Twenty-First Century Fox's competing finance news cable network. The news was first reported by The Drudge Report.

While CNBC certainly didn't have its best quarter in Q3 of this year (the network's total day ratings were off by 29 percent in the news demo, adults 25-54), the move to FBN won't increase Bartiromo's viewer base: Fox Business dipped from a mere 14,000 demo viewers to 9,000 for the same period.
