Kevin Walsh was promoted Thursday (Oct. 30) to vp and general manager of KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV, CBS Television’s owned-and-operated CBS and The CW stations in Sacramento. Since March 2007, Walsh served as vp and director of sales for the duopoly.
Walsh succeeds Bruno Cohen who earlier this month was named president and general manager of WBBM-TV, the CBS owned-and-operated station in Chicago.
“Kevin Walsh has done an excellent job of leading our sales team in Sacramento and we are confident that he will do an outstanding job of succeeding his mentor Bruno Cohen as general manager and oversee the continued growth of our stations,” said Tom Kane, president and CEO of CBS Television Stations.
Prior to CBS, Walsh has held a number of sales management positions with California stations, including 10 years with KRON-TV in San Francisco, and KABC-TV and KTLA-TV in Los Angeles.
