Lauren Russo is once again moving up the ranks at Horizon Media, taking on the new title of svp and managing director, audio and promotions, from svp and managing director of local audio and promotions. In her new position, announced Tuesday (Aug. 24), Russo, a former Mediaweek All-Star, will add responsibility for network radio, overseeing both local and network radio buys placed by Audiohorizon, the shop’s recently rebranded audio division.
As part of the Horizon’s ongoing initiative to align local and network audio, Elizabeth Albright was promoted to managing director, national audio, from associate managing director, local audio. In her new position, Albright will supervise all national audio buys, reporting to Russo.
“Lauren and Elizabeth are particularly adept at integrating all forms of audio into 360 degree campaigns that reach customers at multiple touch points, a crucial skill as mobile technology and online radio become increasingly ubiquitous,” said Aaron Cohen, evp and chief media negotiating officer of Horizon.
In addition to Russo and Albright, five others in Audiohorizon were promoted including Jason Willinger, associate managing director, local; Peter Lebron, associate audio group manager, local; Katie Dye, senior audio buyer, local; Evelyn Sanz, senior audio buyer, national; and David Bahr, associate audio buyer, local.
