ABC, for the second year in a row, is the broadcast network receiving the best grades from the Gay & Lesbian Allliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

And this year, ABC also beat out some of the cable networks, who were monitored and graded by GLAAD for the first time.

Shows cited by GLAAD as among the best at portraying the gay and lesbian community, included ABC shows Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty. GLAAD said 24 percent of ABC
