Fox Working on Three New Projects

As development season kicks into high gear, Fox has three new projects in the works.
Shark creator Ian Biederman is developing a medical drama about a female heart surgeon who is schizophrenic. The project is from 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV.
Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader host Jeff Foxworthy is developing an animated sitcom about a dysfunctional southern family. Foxworthy, along with TBS’s 10 Items Or Less executive producers Nancy Hower and John Lehr, will write the pilot presentation, from Twentieth TV, Fox’s syndie arm, which also is behind 5th Grader’s upcoming syndie version.
The network also is developing a re-telling of Disney’s classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. From ABC Studios, the hourlong dramedy revolves around a group of Los Angeles lawyers, and is tentatively titled Georgia and the Seven Associates. The project concerns a young female lawyer kicked out of her stepmom’s firm, and forced to hook up with attornies reportedly who have the characteristics of the Seven Dwarfs. Chris Brancato and Bert Salke are executive producing. Brancato will write along with screenwriters David Weissman and David Diamond. Ken Kwapis will direct the pilot.
