Fox TV's O&O in Chicago Adds Hour to 'Good Day'

In another sign that local morning shows are becoming a more important daypart for TV stations, WFLD, Fox Television’s owned-and-operated station in Chicago, will add a fifth hour to Good Day Chicago. Beginning Monday, July 7, the Fox local morning news program will air 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. CT. The additional hour will also be the market’s only local newscast at 9 a.m.

The Fox station already leads the market in locally-produced weekday news. Including the expanded morning show, WFLD airs 37.5
