The Flash and Jane the Virgin Bookend The CW's Fall Premieres

Network delays fall debuts until October

Last season, most of the buzz surrounding The CW focused on a pair of freshman series: The Flash and Jane the Virgin. Next season, those very two shows bookend the network's fall premieres.

Launching its 2015-16 season with a schedule that includes only one new show, The CW announced today that its series premieres won't start until Oct. 6, when The Flash and iZombie return for their second seasons. Most of its other shows debut the same week, but the network is delaying its Monday series—new drama Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin—until Oct.
