The jury in Erin Andrews' civil suit has awarded the Fox Sports reporter and Dancing With the Stars host $55 million.
Michael Barrett, who recorded a naked Andrews in her Nashville Marriott hotel room in 2008, was found to be 51 percent at fault in the incident, requiring him to pay more than $28 million. West End Hotel Partners, which owns and operates the hotel, was found to be 49 percent at fault and ordered to pay more than $26 million. Andrews had sued for $75 million.
Barrett was already found criminally guilty and served a prison sentence. He used a hacksaw to tamper with the room's peephole, allowing him to record four and a half minutes of video, which he later released online, showing Andrews undressing. Barrett was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
The jury's decision immediately drew praise on social media from Andrews' peers:

Erin Andrews awarded $55 million over that horrifying nude hotel video. Took the jury one day and she deserved every penny.
