Dial Global continued to dominate the ratings rankers in network radio with five of the top 10-ranked networks in the latest radio network ratings. The network radio company, which recently purchased Jones Radio Networks, had the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, No. 6 and No. 10-ranked networks in Arbitron’s RADAR report released Tuesday (Sept. 23) and covering the period June 28, 2007 to June 25, 2008.
In first place was Dial Global Contemporary Network. Ranked No. 2 in the last report, Contemporary Network supplanted the top position held by Dial Global Adult Power (formerly Jones) for four consecutive ratings period. Dial Global Complete FM Network fell one rank to No. 4, while Dial Global News & Information Net rose one rank to No. 6. Dial Global Female Perspective fell one place to No. 10.
ABC Radio Networks had three networks among the top 10: ABC Daytime Direction, ABC Prime Access and ABC Morning News in third, seventh and ninth place.
Rounding out the top 10 were Westwood WON Network at No. 5 and Westwood CBS News Day Network at No. 8.
Premiere Radio Networks fell out of the top 10. Its highest-ranked network was Premiere Morning Drive Network at No. 11.
Dial Global’s Contemporary Network, Complete FM and Adult Power held the top three spots among the 18-49 and 25-54 demos. Premiere’s Emerald Plus and Emerald Networks were No. 4 and No. 5 among 18-49. ABC Daytime Direction and Westwood WON Network were No. 4 and No. 5 among 25-54.
