Comcast-Spectacor, the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm named ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales as its exclusive national sales representative.
The deal, announced Monday (Dec. 14) gives ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales access to a broad range of inventory associated with the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum arenas; and Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, the 24-hour sports network.
Comcast-Spectacor will continue to handle local advertising.
“Our partnership with ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales enables us to increase our ability to attract national advertisers who want to promote their products to our sports fans here in Philadelphia,” said Joe Croce, senior vp of Comcast-Spectacor. “This new relationship will allows for integrated packages for all sponsors utilizing various media outlets.”
ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales will be able to offer advertisers a one-stop marketing opportunity, including cable TV advertising via several media including: cable TV via Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, the primary broadcast partner for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Philadelphia 76ers and their radio networks; stadium advertising at Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum, hosts to hundreds of live events; and Web sites and print.
“Clients can brand across several platforms,” said Gerald Griffin, senior vp of ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales.
The representation agreement with Comcast-Spectacor is ABC’s third Comcast regional sports network. ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales also represents Comcast Northwest and Comcast West.
