Leo Burnett has hired Publicis Groupe veteran, consultant and venture capitalist Andrew Swinand to serve as its North American chief executive officer.
In a major leadership transition at one of the industry's most storied agency networks, Rich Stoddart will succeed Tom Bernardin as CEO at Leo Burnett Worldwide. Stoddart will also continue to hold the title of North American CEO; Bernardin remains Leo Burnett's global chairman through June 2017.
Marshalls has found a new lead agency. Leo Burnett in Chicago has landed the retailer's creative business, succeeding GSD&M in Austin, Texas. The assignment includes both traditional and digital creative responsibilities. Marshalls' media spending totalled $95 million last year, according to Kantar Media.
