Omnicom media networks continued their winning streak, with OMD adding Ancestry.com after a media review in which incumbent Ocean Media did not participate, according to people familiar with the search. Earlier this week, Omnicom Media Group's PHD network won Delta Airlines in the U.S., taking the business from Digitas after a review which included UM as a finalist.
The members-only e-commerce site Jet.com went shopping for a media agency and wound up hiring Maxus.
Gilt launched its first TV campaign today, moving its marketing efforts offline with the help of its first media agency, Ocean Media. The Huntington Beach, Calif., independent won the business after a review where the other finalist was WPP’s MediaCom.
LendingTree is expected to hire a new lead creative agency in the next week or so, following final pitches last week. Three shops are competing for the business, according to a source. The identities of the finalists could not be ascertained.
