That was fast. Eleven months after taking the reins of Arnold as CEO and 15 months after he joined the agency as global president, Robert LePlae is out.
Bob Jeffrey, JWT global CEO since January 2004, will hand off to Gustavo Martinez in 13 months, after a year of preparing him for the top job.
JWT has recruited McCann Worldgroup’s Gustavo Martinez to become global president and succeed Bob Jeffrey as CEO. Martinez, who was president of Europe and Asia at Worldgroup, will join JWT in February, according to the agency. In 2015, he’ll rise to global CEO as Jeffrey shifts to non-executive chairman.
Kate Robertson, who just became Havas Worldwide’s second global president, describes herself as noisy, energetic and “very good with people.” She’ll need all those qualities and more in her new role as partner to Andrew Benett, the agen
