Rewards-based mobile ad startup Kiip has signed its first major media client, Meredith Corp., as the platform expands its focus outside of gaming. The mass women's magazine publisher and broadcaster will use Kiip to offer consumer rewards like coupons or product samples on its AllRecipes Dinner Spinner and Better Homes and Gardens’ Must-Have Recipes apps.
Women’s-interest publisher Meredith Corp. today launched a print magazine extension of its user-generated Allrecipes.com, deepening its commitment to the food category. The eponymous magazine will come out six times a year and have an initial rate base of 500,000.
Des Moines-based Meredith Corp. has found its replacement for former More publisher Sabine Feldmann, who left the company last month to join newly installed publisher Connie Anne Phillips at Glamour.
During the past several years, Meredith has invested heavily in the food space, acquiring Every Day with Rachael Ray from Reader's Digest Association in 2011 and purchasing Allrecipes.com from RDA in early 2012.
