It's the most wonderful time of the year, when agency people push all the client work to the side and try to make a cool, funny, sweet or poignant holiday card.
Agency Holiday Cards
It's the most wonderful time of the year, except for agency people who've been feeling the annual pressure to come up with something fun for their agency holiday card. How did they do this year? Check out some of the more notable efforts below.
Stumped for a fun way to say happy holidays? Try playing "Jingle Bells" with any of your private parts, and you're all but guaranteed to get a reaction. Kmart famously did it with "Jingle Balls" two years ago. Now, Zulu Alpha Kilo has moved on to butts. For its 2015 holiday video, the Canadian ad agency brought in world-renowned Spanish percussionist and YouTube star Jorge Perez to perform a cheeky—very cheeky—rendition of "Jingle Bells."
Employees at Baltimore agency Exit10 get pelted with snowballs in slow motion in this flaky and—let's be honest—rather painful-looking holiday video. No one got hurt during filming. Not much, anyway. The idea "came out of that dark place where all holiday video concepts come from," says Eric Hartsock, Exit10's managing partner and creative director, "meaning, the small conference room the creative team refuses to leave until they come up with something that sticks."
What better way to cap off the year in which agencies were obsessed with prankvertising than with an agency pranking its own staff?
