YouTube Eating Up 22% Of Total Global Mobile Bandwidth

According to Allot Communications’ MobileTrends Report, "YouTube remains the single most popular mobile internet destination, accounting for 22% of mobile data bandwidth usage and 52% of total video streaming." More stats after the jump.

A new report shows that YouTube mobile is bigger than ever.  According to Allot Communications’ MobileTrends Report, “YouTube remains the single most popular mobile internet destination, accounting for 22% of mobile data bandwidth usage and 52% of total video streaming.”  That’s nearly one-quarter of all mobile bandwidth usage, globally.  YouTube is officially huge on mobile!

The report also showed that mobile video streaming in general (of which  YouTube accounts for 52%) is up a whopping 93% since the beginning of this year.
