YouTube, Chrome, Run Roo Run and more on this week’s top free mobile apps charts
Google’s release of its new YouTube app for iPhone and iPod Touch on Sept. 11 took the No. 1 spot on the top free iPhone apps chart this week. The YouTube app from Google comes in lieu of Apple revealing it was removing the pre-loaded YouTube app from iOS 6. An iPad YouTube app is planned to arrive “in the coming months.”
Google released an update to its Chrome browser app on Sept. 12 that increased the app’s security via its sandbox technology, a multi-processor architecture.
