If you’ve got a lot of videos on your YouTube channel and have ever wanted to go through and make changes to all of them (for example: monetize, add tags, etc.) then you know how tedious it can be. Fortunately, it just got a whole lot easier as YouTube has rolled out Bulk Actions to all users, letting you update multiple videos at the same time.
Maxime Curioni, YouTube Software Engineer, writes on the YouTube Creator blog, “Bulk Actions allow you to make one or more updates to several (or all) videos at once. Just select the videos you want to edit, then select Actions > Advanced, and choose what you want to change.”
Bulk Actions you can take include deleting videos, monetizing, changing the privacy settings, changing licensing to standard or Creative Commons, adding tags, location, category, description, and more.
To make changes to your YouTube videos in bulk, just head over to the Video Manager, check off the videos you’d like to make changes to and then, as Curioni stated, select the item you’d like to change from the ‘Actions > Advanced’ menu at the top of the page.
So far the response to Bulk Actions has been overwhelmingly positive (after all, who doesn’t like things that save time?). Have you used Bulk Actions yet? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
