YouTube Adds Dean Gilbert, Robert Kyncl to Leadership Team

Google-owned video site YouTube added two new executives to its leadership team, including one from its parent company.

New global head of content Dean Gilbert had worked with Google on Google TV, YouTube and Google TV Ads. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and general manager of cable-industry high-speed-data network @Home Network.

And former Netflix VP of content acquisitions Robert Kyncl is YouTube’s new global head of TV and film entertainment. He will build YouTube’s content-partner presence in Hollywood and oversee content partnerships.

The moves were announced in a blog post by co-head of YouTube Salar Kamangar.
