Yahoo will expand its data center in western New York, the company said today. The company will expand the Lockport, New York, data center that it opened in 2010 and will take on more than 100 new employees in engineering, technology, and customer care roles.

Yahoo will expand its data center in western New York, the company said today.

The company will expand the Lockport, New York, data center that it opened in 2010 and will take on more than 100 new employees in engineering, technology, and customer care roles. Lockport sits about 30 miles north of Buffalo.

The move is further evidence that CEO Marissa Mayer is making progress turning around the long-troubled company.
