Yahoo-acquired task-management app Astrid shuts down on August 5

Yahoo purchased task-management service Astrid in May. Upon joining Yahoo, Astrid’s Jon Paris could only guarantee the survival of the program for 90 days. Unfortunately for its users, the brand won’t last longer than that, as Yahoo has announced that Astrid will be closing on August 5.

The news comes by way of an email to Astrid’s users. In it, Paris thanks the company’s fans for their support.

“First off, we want to sincerely thank you for being an Astrid user over the years,” writes Paris.
