WOWIO Raises Capital and Acquires WEvolt
WOWIO, a website with digital media content and eBooks, has a lot of big news today. The site raised $1.7 million in private financing and is acquiring WEvolt, a social networking platform that brings together book creators and fans.
On WEvolt, artists can create profiles to share and raise money for their work. WOWIO’s CEO Brian Altounian said this, “In addition to technology, an online community and social networking tools, we have added amazing creative talent which will provide WOWIO with studio capabilities to create original content for broad media exploitation.”
