World's Cheapest Tablet Available for Consumer Purchase in the UK

The UbiSlate is a low resolution 7″ Android tablet with a 1GHz processor and 4 GB for storage. It’s very minimal, but at $35 ( £29.99), it’s within the purchase price of the UK’s poorest residents – 29% of whom do not have a personal computer and 36% have no internet.

The Ubislate is produced by Datawind and is the lowest priced tablet from the manufacturer –  other tablets range between £50  and £129. Datawind originally developed the cheap tablets for educational use in India in 2012.
