Windows Phone Marketplace Hits 100,000 Apps

Lost amid the news from Computex and E3 yesterday was a minor milestone for Microsoft. Windows Phone Marketplace, their mobile app store, now has 100 thousand registered apps listed in it from just over 23 thousand developers.

In July 2011 WPM hit 25 thousand apps. It took just over 11 months to quadruple that number. WPM hit this milestone in 19 months since launch, which is faster than Android Market (24 months) buy slower than iTunes (16 months).
