Facebook marketing vendor Wildfire now offers users the ability to run video contests on YouTube, tying that option in with its integration with Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

The company said brands including Dairy Queen, Mercedes-Benz, Western Union, and Sony have already successfully run video contents on Facebook using its platform, adding that the addition of YouTube will allow its clients to:

  • Share sample video entries with potential contestants, rather than relying on text descriptions.
  • Reward entrants with desirable prizes, since users who submit videos are likely to be brand loyalists.
