White House Rips CBS For Spreading Supreme Court Rumor
CBSNews.com deleted an online column last night penned by a former Bush administration aide who wrote that Pres. Obama would “please” much of his base by picking the “first openly gay justice.”
The Washington Post reports the White House ripped CBS News for publishing the column written by Ben Domenech.
When the best settled, and the posting was removed, Domenech apologized saying he was repeating “a Harvard rumor in a speculative blog post” regarding Solicitor General Elena Kagan, a leading candidate for the Supreme Court vacancy.
