Watch Your Tweets, Or You Could Be Arrested
The next time you make an off-color joke on Twitter, think twice about hitting “Tweet”. If it’s offensive enough, it might just get you arrested – at least if you live in the UK.
The BBC reported that a conservative Erdington councilor was arrested and later released on bail for a comment – which some perceived as a death threat – he made on Twitter.
The councilor in question, Gareth Compton, said that his Tweet was just an “ill-conceived attempt at humor.”
