Beware of link bearing-status updates and wall posts, like the one called “Justin Bieber got erection in public.” Clicking on it spreads the spam and malware.
This malware masquerades as a legitimate application. Click on the link and you are asked for permission to launch an application supposedly verified by Facebook. Any further clicking will lead to surveys that have nothing to do with Justin Bieber and everything to do with earning commissions for the spammer.
Each survey entices with the promise of prizes for completion, with no way to confirm whether anyone actually wins anything.
