Wanderfly Partners With People.com To Bring You The London “Hot Spots” For Olympic-Goers

By Megan O'Neill

Travel recommendation platform Wanderfly has partnered with People.com to name the London “Hot Spots” for the 2012 Olympic summer games.  The list, which includes everything from nightclubs and restaurants to tourist attractions and historical sites, will live on a special London Hot Spots page on People.com as well as a branded page on the Wanderfly site.

Janice Morris, Managing Editor of People Digital, says, “For People.com readers, London has become a stargazing hot spot, up there with LA or New York, thanks to William, Kate and Harry.  Now, with the Summer Olympics, there’s even more of a reason to spotlight London in a new, fun way.  Partnering with Wanderfly lets us share where the world’s biggest athletes and celebrities are hanging out during the Games, and we can take readers along for the ride.”

Christie Liu, Director of Marketing and Co-Founder of Wanderfly, says, “Wanderfly is excited to work with People.com to help users discover great travel recommendations in and around London.  The combination of Wanderfly’s curated content and People.com’s in-the-know perspective makes for a truly seamless user experience.  We look forward to partnering on more locations and themes in the upcoming months.”

Our CEO Alan Meckler interviewed the founders of Wanderfly last July in the debut episode of MediaBistroTV’s “Elevator Pitch.”  Check out the interview below to find out more about the company and, if you’re in London, stay updated on the London Hot Spots on Wanderfly and People.com.
